West Lyon Community School District Offers Contract to New 7-12 Principal

The West Lyon Administration and the Board of Education is pleased to announce they have offered a contract for the position of 7-12 Principal to Mr. Jerod L. Reinking.

Mr. Reinking is currently the Middle School Math Interventionist at Sheldon Community Schools in Sheldon, Iowa. Serving as Interventionist, he provides research-based math interventions to eligible 5^th-8^th grade students.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Iowa in Elementary Education and Middle School Mathematics. Mr. Reinking completed a Masters’ Degree in Educational Administration from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.

Mr. Reinking began his teaching career in the Sheldon Community Schools at the 4^th grade level teaching math and he integrated technology into his lessons.  He also served on the Building Leadership Team and the District Leadership Team. Mr. Reinking has served as a coach in basketball, golf, and track.

Mr. Reinking will begin his employment as the 7-12 Principal with the West Lyon Community Schools for the 2024-2025 school year.
